Brilliance in Business Awards


The Brilliance in Business Awards celebrate the achievements of business in the New Forest and highlight best practice.

The New Forest Business of the year will be selected from the winners of eight individual categories detailed below. These will include companies which show high levels of achievement within their core business and in a number of specialist areas including investment in the workforce, enterprise and innovation, entrepreneurship, development of technologies and green policies.

All entries should be made by 12 noon on 05 October.

Individuals can either enter their business or nominate a company in any of the categories listed below.

Short-listed businesses will be selected in each of the award categories detailed below; those selected will be invited to discuss their application in further detail with the judging panel. Judging dates are given on each individual category page. Please ensure your availability before submitting an application in the event that your business is short-listed. Short-listed candidates will receive 2 complimentary tickets to the Awards evening.

The Awards will be presented at our Annual Presentation Evening on Thursday 06th December at Careys Manor Brockenhurst. Tickets for this prestigious event are now available.

The New Forest District Council Award for Outstanding Customer Care:New Forest District Council
For businesses who recognise the importance of the customer in developing their business. Successful entrants will demonstrate how analysis and response to ‘customers needs’ have assisted in developing a growing business.

For leading the way in product and concept development. This award will highlight companies who have used these ideas to benefit workforce and customers alike.

The New Forest Enterprise Centre Award for the Best New Business:New Forest Enterprise Centre
For either innovation in terms of a new business idea or demonstration of exceptional skills in the establishment and development of a business started within the previous 2 years.

The Hampshire County Council Award for Contribution to the New Forest Community:Hanpshire County Council
To be awarded to a business which recognises the importance of a real commitment to the local New Forest community and can demonstrate tangible impact and clear results in Corporate Social Responsibility and/or community impact.

The New Forest National Park Award for Outstanding New Forest National Park Authority
Contribution to the National Park:
 This award will highlight businesses that, through their actions and activities, have supported the special qualities of the National Park and contributed to the development of a diverse and sustainable National Park economy.

For businesses offering outstanding career opportunities to their employees including training opportunities, career development and mentoring within the existing workforce. The winner will show how this investment has allowed the company to enhance their performance.

The Eric Robinson Award for Young Person in Business:Eric Robinson
For an individual aged under 30 years who has made a significant contribution to business in the position of owner, employee or trainee/apprentice. You will be asked to provide a short statement of the reasons for your nomination.
