The recently established Brand New Forest Broadband Campaign Group is working to ensure faster Broadband speeds throughout the New Forest.
One of the elements of this campaign is to ensure that residents and businesses register their interest in receiving this service as decisions as to where superfast is rolled out will in some cases be influenced by market demand.
Hampshire County Council have secured funding from Broadband Delivery UK (BDUK) and are working with local partners (including New Forest District Council) to ensure faster broadband in those parts of Hampshire that have poor internet access.
In order to identify which areas have the greatest demand for superfast access, Hampshire County Council have set up a page on their website for individuals and businesses to register their interest. This is an important process as superfast access (up to 24MB) will only be delivered to those areas with the greatest return on investment. The remainder will receive a minimum of 2MB.

Super fast broadband at upto 24mb isn’t backwards step in many respects and probably a waste of money as thats just adsl2+ which many exchanges have already. I wouldn’t call up 24mb as superfast broadband anyway.
Fttc to 80% of Hampshire’s population (up to 80mb, more with vectoring) and the other exchanges upgraded to adsl2+ with Raul rural areas other technologies(such as lte)
Hamsphire and new forest county councillers need to wake up and see what IS SUPERFAST BROADBAND.
