Marine & Maritime Sector Business Briefing

7 January, 2020 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am

£11.00 – £21.00

The UK has the largest marine and maritime sector in Europe, employing more than 360,000 people and contributing £19 billion gross value added, with the Solent being right at the heart. With many marine businesses based here in the New Forest, ranging from shipping, boat building and marine engineering to marine technology and leisure marine.

The New Forest’s location supports a thriving marine and maritime sector, the ongoing growth of which is a key focus as NFBP works to deliver the New Forest’s economic development strategy.

Our annual networking and support meeting for marine and maritime sector businesses – and others who do business with those businesses – is a great opportunity to tell your story, share your successes, raise your concerns and learn from each other. We will hear updates from Stuart Baker at Solent LEP, James Ward at Marine Resources and from our local marine businesses.

This business briefing is over breakfast, leaving plenty of time for discussion and networking. Come along to find out what other businesses are doing and how they are growing their business in 2020.
