New Forest Business Support Hour
7 April, 2021 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
FreeJoin us for an informal virtual networking meeting! An opportunity to update each other on how our businesses are progressing, to meet new people and to ask each other questions in a relaxed setting.
Join us on today’s Business Support Hour to hear from Philip King, the Interim Small Business Commissioner.
The Small Business Commissioner (SBC) is an independent public body set up by Government under the Enterprise Act 2016 to tackle late payment and unfavourable payment practices in the private sector.
The Small Business Commissioner leads an independent office aimed at empowering small businesses in resolving disputes around late and unfair payment issues and provides advice, including on how to take action if a payment is overdue.
The Commissioner urges small businesses affected by late or unfair payment practices to use the SBC’s complaint investigation service and promises to take action to tackle the worst examples of supply chain bullying.
Support and advice is on hand with the opportunity to share experience and expertise with other New Forest businesses. We look forward to welcoming you online!
Please note that this is an online Zoom meeting and is free with the sponsorship of New Forest District Council.
You do need to book by 1500 on Wednesday. You will then receive an email just after 1400 with the Zoom meeting ID and password to enable you to join the meeting online.
