Social Media Update – Making the most of Instagram Reels
23 March, 2023 @ 9:30 am - 11:00 am
£10.00Join us for our monthly social media update for New Forest businesses. An opportunity to update each other on how our businesses are progressing, to meet new people and to ask each other questions about our use of social media in a relaxed setting.
This month we have a bumper two part session with Rebecca Wade of Purple Dog talking about making the most of Instagram Reels.
Part 1: Introduction to Instagram Reels
Instagram reels are great tools on Instagram to help you reach a newer audience, grow your following and attract new customers & clients. However, with so many options, effects and functions they can be a bit of a learning curve. Not to mention coming up with ideas for what sort of content to create.
In this introductory session, Rebecca from Purple Dog will be explaining reel best practices, showcasing some examples, and giving you some content ideas before easing you into creating reels. We’ll take a tour of the reel function step by step, showing you what each button does, where to find different reel elements like audio and effects, how to add your captions, cover images, and publish!
This workshop is great if you’re completely new to reels, unsure of all the different options available or lack confidence in using the reels feature on Instagram.
You can also book to stay on for the later more advanced session.
Part 2: Creating Scroll-Stopping Instagram Reels
Following on from the earlier session this will be a great hands-on workshop to help you create scroll-stopping reels!
Rebecca from Purple Dog will be sharing some reel secrets to help you create successful reels. In addition, she’ll share some top tips such as ensuring you capture your audience’s attention with hooks, and how to use more advanced editing tips such as timing text, using transitions and how to edit your video to advantage for more views. All, without the need for lip-syncing or dancing!
Rebecca’s training sessions are highly interactive and you are encouraged to bring along your own examples of using reels, or any problems with reels which might be holding you back.
Bookings close at 17.00 on Tuesday 21 March 2023.
