The use of themed F&D events in a variety of geographic locations throughout the year was a key debating point at yesterdays NFBP Food and Drink workshop event facilitated by Anthony Climpson at Thatched Cottage Hotel.

Businesses heard about plans for the inaugural Lymington Seafood Festival from Richard Nowell of Lighthouse Marketing who is organising the event which will take place in the Bath Road area of the town on August 12th & 13th.A number of other issues were discussed including the need for consistent and effective communication for both potential participants and customers.

The workshop concluded with an agreement that if the full commercial benefits were to be reaped by local New Forest businesses then it was important to have a clear food and drink development plan & timetabled programme in place. This plan will be drafted and circulated shortly.
