Growing the New Forest Visitor Economy, 24 April at The White Hart (Lymington)

Tourism perhaps makes the most significant contribution of any sector to the New Forest’s economy. The last time the volume & value of local tourism was surveyed in 2015, it was estimated tourism related activities generated over £528 million annually and provided nearly 20% of all local jobs. Delivered by Go New Forest CIC, this breakfast briefing presentation will identify how all New Forest businesses, particularly non-tourism companies, can grow their own business by getting involved in the local visitor economy.

The presentation will also explore the role of our towns and villages and the range of relationships required for everybody to benefit from and make most of the opportunity tourism presents. Following the presentation there will be a Q&A session which will allow participants to examine in more detail exactly how they might extract the commercial benefits of working together to further develop the New Forest’s tourism profile, popularity and collective best value.
