This morning’s networking breakfast saw the launch of the Brilliance in Business Awards 2017/18.
Held at NFBP member Bartley Lodge Hotel (Cadnam), over 20 delegates arrived and enjoyed networking together before tucking in to a delicious buffet breakfast.
After breakfast, chairman Matthew Lawson officially launched the Brilliance in Business Awards and encouraged attendees to either put their own business forward or to nominate a suitable business.
Delegates then had the chance to hear from two of last year’s winners – Oddny Edwards from Oskubox who won The New Forest Enterprise Centre Award for the Best New Business and Mark D’arcy from Herb UK who won The Brockenhurst College Award for Training and Development.
Both gave insightful and relaxed presentations about what winning the award meant to them and their business.
We were also delighted to have representatives from two of the sponsors present (Go New Forest and New Forest Enterprise Centre).
The rest of the morning was spent networking and new business relationships were made.
David Robberts Manager from New Forest Enterprise Centre “A really good launch! I made a point of complimenting both last years’ winners on their talks – it just goes to show how useful and motivating an award can be.”
Dawn Wood Business Development Manager from Minstead Trust “It was a very good event which enabled me to promote our own upcoming events to attendees.”
