Rebecca Wade from Purple Dog presented on the basics of Facebook for businesses at Lyndhurst Community Centre. A variety of businesses attended all with their own questions to help them get the most out of their business Facebook accounts.
Purple Dog stressed the challenges with Facebook due to its increased popularity and the demographic getting older. It’s getting harder for businesses to engage with audiences on Facebook and it was advised to only post on Facebook 3-4 times a week.
Purple Dog explained how Facebook was good for advertising and gave some top tips as to how businesses can utilise this without spending a lot.
Making use of your businesses logo and to use lots of imagery is invaluable as this will help customers to recognise you as your business develops. It was also advised to make your account personal and show more of yourself in posts and videos.
