Rachel Crawford-Jones welcomed us to the New Forest Heritage Centre for the Business Briefing on Terms and Conditions. The New Forest Heritage centre has been open for over 30 years with their museum providing guests, tourists as well as local residents, with information as well as entertainment. But it is more than just a museum. The centres library holds the most information about the New Forest than anywhere else in the world. As well as this the centre also runs activity days including arts and crafts for children over the school holidays as well as the Family Fun Day coming up in June.
Eric Robinson Solicitors presented on Terms and Conditions: Protect your business from the outset. They warned delegates not to copy other business owners Terms and Conditions even if their business models are similar. However they did encourage businesses to have a core set of Terms and Conditions which will help to provide the framework for any future contracts. The speakers stressed the importance of reviewing them regularly but also noted that any transaction between a customer and the business is a contract.
