Wicked Issues – update from event

This morning NFBP hosted another Business Breakfast ‘Wicked Issues and Top Tips’ at Foxlease.

Foxlease provided a wonderful spread of food and were extremely welcoming hosts. Philip Jarmyn, Centre Manager, provided a brief insight into the transformation the centre has undergone in recent years. Roughly two years ago the site was making a significant loss and discussions were taken on selling the land. Fast forward to September this year and the centre has now posted its first profits for quite some time. The turnaround has come about from an expansion and diversification of services offered with the site now comprising of 4 star hotel rooms, camping, conference facilities, and a range of outdoor activities. The centre also remains the location for girlguiding groups.

The aim of this morning’s session was to hear from members and non-members about what challenges they face in their daily lives when running a business, in order to shape NFBP’s events calendar next year. Clare Norman from Clare Norman Coaching Associates facilitated the session and encouraged everyone to share what they find most challenging in being able to help their businesses reach its full potential. A range of issues came from this which were then summarised and organised into categories. From these it was clear to see the issues and concerns business owners have moving forward such as GDPR.

Thank you to everyone that attended and took part in the invaluable discussions and to Clare Norman for leading this event.
